David Mahoney
David (47), Drummer & Co-Leader, is the son of John Mahogany, professor of Music at Loyola Univ in New Orleans, and joined the DUKES 14 years ago in 2014. He and John Shoup, Producer/Manager, OVID re-built the DUKES of DIXIELAND aboard the Steamboat NATCHEZ after COVID in 2021 (the DUKES were disbanded and shut down between 2019-2021) picking up extremely talented musicians and working initially in Shoup's new club "Jazz @ Blue Dog" in the Sheraton Canal lobby and again later aboard the Steamboat NATCHEZ.
JAMES WALL
James (28), is a Trombonist & Vocalist, born in London, in 1998 in England. Raised
in the US, received a Bachelors degree in Music and a Masters degree in Trombone Performance @ Univ So Florida. He conducted national tours in
Columbia and France with
the USF Band. He joined the DUKES aboard the NATCHEZ in 2026.
NOAH RAMPMAIER
Noah (24), Trumpeter & Co-Leader, joined the DUKES in 2026, has both a Bachelor of Music from LSU-Monroe, Louisiana, and both a Master's & Doctorate of Music Performance & Jazz Studies from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. Prior to moving to New Orleans earlier in 2026, Noah was lead trumpeter with Royal Caribbean International Cruise Lines in Tampa.
